Being educated as an ecologist (Wageningen University, 1982) he worked in private industry and government on using aerial photography and other remote sensing techniques in environmental applications and in photogrammetric mapmaking. Since 2003 he is Managing Director at Aerodata International Surveys. Aerodata is a remote sensing company, part of the PASCO Corporation, active in a wide geographical region and specialized in airborne data acquisition and value added geo-information products.

Dorine Burmanje is chair of the Executive Board of the Netherlands' Cadastre, Land Registry and Mapping Agency, in short: Kadaster. Her main focus is to position Kadaster as a partner in property and geographic information -both nationally and abroad- for governmental, corporate and other stakeholders. Her main tasks include centralising the region-orientated Kadaster organisation, as well as stimulating innovation by developing new IT tasks and services. A one-stop shopping portal being the ultimate goal, multi-channel marketing being the main focus. Mrs. Burmanje also serves as an advisor to various associations in the field of spatial information, such as the Dutch Space Programme for Geo-Information, the Programme Council for OTB (Engineering and Construction Research Institute) as well as the Geo-Information Council. Prior to her current position, Mrs. Burmanje was the director of the Rijn and IJssel Water board.

Steven W. Berglund

Steven W. Berglund has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Trimble since March 1999. Prior to joining Trimble, Mr. Berglund was president of Spectra Precision, a group within Spectra Physics AB. Mr. Berglund's business experience includes a variety of senior leadership positions with Spectra Physics, and manufacturing and planning roles at Varian Associates. Mr. Berglund began his career as a process engineer at Eastman Kodak. He attended the University of Oslo and the University of Minnesota where he received a B.S. in chemical engineering. Mr. Berglund received his M.B.A. from the University of Rochester.

Ben Semmes brings twenty years of software industry experience to his role as Group Operating Officer. In this capacity, Semmes leads Pitney Bowes Software’s global efforts to align all resources (people, process and systems) to most effectively drive the company’s global growth strategy. Semmes has established standard business practices and collaboration initiatives across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific regions, resulting in increased customer satisfaction, organizational efficiency and profitability. Semmes’ previous role at Pitney Bowes Software was Senior Vice President, Global Services, where he led predictive analytics, consulting, support, education and online-services worldwide. Prior to joining MapInfo Corporation (now Pitney Bowes Software), Semmes was a Senior Director at Oracle for nine years with successes in leading the development of new organizations, models and strategies. While living in Bangalore, India, Semmes established Oracle Consulting, North America India Operations, an organization of more than 500 employees providing new capabilities and more competitive price points for blended services to commercial, government and higher education clients in North America, Europe and South Asia. During his tenure with Oracle, Semmes held line management positions leading Enterprise Resource Planning and Technology Consulting Practices as well as staff roles focusing on consulting operations. Semmes holds a BS in Chemistry from Virginia Military Institute and a MS in Management from Steven’s Institute of Technology.

Alain De Taeye

Alain De Taeye, born in Belgium, graduated as engineer-architect from the University of Gent. After having done research work in the field of Operations Research at the Business School of the Gent University, he founded Informatics & Management Consultants (I&M) where next to IT consultancy, he continued his work on digital map databases and routing. In 1989 I&M was integrated into the Dutch Tele Atlas group and as of 1990 Alain headed Tele Atlas. During this period he successfully introduced Tele Atlas on both the Frankfurt and the Amsterdam Stock Exchanges. In 2008 Tele Atlas was acquired by TomTom and Alain joined the Management Board of TomTom.
